This is a collection of all of my miscellaneous art projects from the last few years.
For this piece I took a few of my B&W photos, and put them in photoshop to combine them with other imagery. I then printed out two transparency sheets, sewed them together. Lastly, I exposed that result on a treated piece of watercolor to create this cyanotype. The concept revolved around excerpts from Alan Watts speeches. This piece won an award at the Governor's Art Exhibition.
These three paintings are from a club I attended in my freshman year of college called the Bob Ross Painting Club. We all watched episodes of 'The Joy of Painting' and painted alongside the video. It was a really fun experience and I made these neat little pieces in it.
These two paintings were done in my high school painting class with acrylic. We had to create scenes that felt like filmic images. The outcome was these two desert racing inspired pieces.
This is probably by far my favorite painting I've ever made and also the biggest. It's around 25x14'' and was done in watercolor. It's an image of Shibuya in Tokyo, Japan. I wanted to capture the lighting and atmosphere so I used these super bright vivid colors and also included lots of little illustrated people to bring out the bustling city vibe.
These two images were done in my spare time in class in high school. I wanted to make something cool that I could hang on my wall, so I vectorized two of my favorite cars and put them in these pink frames.
I eventually got these printed and framed.
This image was taken on Holga, a lo-fi medium format camera that operates in a very simple chassis, but one of the cool things you can do with it is these notched overexposure shots. The image consists of about twelve different snaps of the same scene but at varying angles to give a sense of motion. The presented format was a 2x5'' silver gelatin print. I also won an award in the Ohio governor's art exhibition with this particular print.
This was a project in my digital media class in high school where we had to hand vectorize an image in Illustrator. I made a picture of my favorite band at the time, Vundabar. Doing this got me much more familiar with how to handle the pen tool in vector-based software and I enjoyed just relaxing to some music and working away making shapes for this piece.
This was an exercise in my high school drawing class where we had to draw an image inside the silhouette of a related object so I chose to draw this boat scene in the silhouette of a fish.
